The IV NamBan Cup is a class A tournament open to any player who wishes to participate. It will take place on 9 and 10 December 2023.

It will take place in the Club de Go La Didáctica facilities: C/ Molino de Viento 10, Madrid Spain (map)

Japanese rules (rules)
Time: 60 minutes per player, plus Canadian byo-yomi (20 stones in 5 minutes). With digital clocks, players will have 3 periods of 20 seconds each.
Komi: 6.5

The IV NamBan Cup is a tournament open to all levels of go and to all Spanish and foreign players who wish to register. Your participation will be registered in EGD as a class A tournament.

Registration is subject to capacity limitations.

All players must pay before the due date in order to get the discount. In the case of special rates for minors and the legally unemployed, the same day of the tournament they must provide the necessary documentation proving the application of the rate. Payment can be made by bank transfer.

DUE TO THE TOURNAMENT SITE CAPACITY, PREREGISTRATION DOES NOT ENSURE YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT. PLEASE CONTACT THE ORGANIZERS IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE. Remember you have to be at the playing premises the day the tournament starts in order to participate.

Cervantes Prizes

The Cervantes Prizes will be awarded to the best players under the bar in each category: SDK (single digit kyu, i.e. 9k or higher) and DDK (double digit kyu, i.e. 10 kyu or lower). They are as follows:

SDK

First classified (9k or higher): 70 €
Second classified (9k or higher): 50 €
Third classified (9k or higher): 30 €

DDK

First classified (10k or lower): 70 €
Second classified (10k or lower): 50 €
Third classified (10k or lower): 30 €

** Prizes are subject to a minimum participation of 20 players (if not reached, they could be modified), they are non-cumulative and to qualify for them you must have played all the games. **

Notice

Attendance at the tournament involves the transfer of rights of image to Go Club Nam-Ban for a possible public communication by Internet of photographs taken at the event.
