XXIV Madrid Open Tournament

Place and date

The XXIV Madrid Open is a class A tournament open to any player who wishes to participate. It is valid for the Spanish Championship and qualifier for the Korea Prime Minister Cup. It will take place on 6 and 7 May 2023.

It will take place in the Club de Go La Didáctica facilities: C/ Molino de Viento 10, Madrid Spain (map)

Time: 60 minutes per player, plus Canadian byo-yomi (20 stones in 5 minutes). With digital clocks, players will have 3 periods of 20 seconds each.
Komi: 6.5

The XXIV Madrid Open is a tournament open to all levels of go and to all Spanish and foreign players who wish to register. It is valid for the Spanish Championship and qualifier for the Korea Prime Minister Cup. Your participation will be registered in EGD as a class A tournament.

Registration is subject to capacity limitations.

All players must pay before the due date in order to get the discount. In the case of special rates for minors and the legally unemployed, the same day of the tournament they must provide the necessary documentation proving the application of the rate. Payment can be made by bank transfer.

DUE TO THE TOURNAMENT SITE CAPACITY, PREREGISTRATION DOES NOT ENSURE YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT. PLEASE CONTACT THE ORGANIZERS IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE. Remember you have to be at the playing premises the day the tournament starts in order to participate.

Tournament winner: 250 €
Second best: 150 €

Fourth best: 100% discount on the registration fee for the I Cervantes Tournament

To the highest ranked Spanish player: Spanish representative for the Korea Prime Minister Cup (KPMC)
Go book for best player of each category (to be defined level limits of categories) with at least 4 wins under bar

Notice

Attendance at the tournament involves the transfer of rights of image to Go Club Nam-Ban for a possible public communication by Internet of photographs taken at the event.
