XXVIII Madrid Open

The XXVIII Madrid Open is open to all Go levels and to all Spanish and foreign players who wish to register. Participation will be recorded in the EGD as a class A tournament.

Player registration is subject to the venue capacity available for the tournament.

• Five rounds using the McMahon system.
• Even games.
• Japanese rules (view rules).
• Fisher Time, 45 minutes + 15 sec / move
• Komi: 6.5.

Because of venue capacity, preregistration alone does not guarantee a seat. You must still check in on the first day of the tournament to confirm your participation.

Saturday, April 3

• 09:15 - 09:45 h: Registration and check-in
• 10:00 - 13:00 h: First round
• 13:00 - 15:00 h: Lunch break
• 15:00 - 18:00 h: Second round
• 18:00 h: Third round

Sunday, April 4

• 09:15 - 12:00 h: Fourth round
• 12:00 - 14:30 h: Fifth round
• 14:30 h: Prize ceremony

• Tournament winner: 400€
• Second place: 200€
• Third place: 100€
• Prize for the best player in each category (to be defined) who wins at least 4 games under the bar.

Prizes are subject to a minimum participation of 30 players, are not cumulative, and require having played every game and being present at the prize ceremony.

Attendance at the tournament implies the transfer of image rights to Club de Go Nam-Ban for possible online publication of photographs taken during the event.
